The initscript used to start mysql has been reverted to use the one shipped
by MySQL AB. This means the following changes:

• The MYSQLD_OPTIONS="--skip-networking" option in the /etc/sysconfig/mysqld file has been removed, this is now set in the /etc/my.cnf file.


• The MySQL Instance Manager is used by default, set use_mysqld_safe="1" in the /etc/sysconfig/mysqld file to use the old mysqld_safe script.

The extra MySQL-NDB server package has been merged into the MySQL-Max package and ndb related pieces has been split into different sub packages as done by MySQL AB. The MySQL libraries and the MySQL-common sub package uses the MySQL-Max build so that no functionality required by for example the NDB parts are lost.

The MySQL-common package now ships with a default /etc/my.cnf file that is based on the my-medium.cnf file that comes with the source code. The /etc/my.cnf file is constructed at build time of this package.

To connect to the Instance Manager you need to pass the correct command line options like in the following examples:

mysql -u root --password=my_password --port=2273 --protocol=TCP

mysql -u root --password=my_password --socket=/var/lib/mysql/mysqlmanager.sock

Please note you also need to add a user in the /etc/mysqlmanager.passwd file and make sure the file is owned by the user under which the Instance Manager service is running under.

Mandriva Linux 2008 ha sido liberado

Orgullosamente anunciamos que Mandriva 2008 esta ahora disponible para descarga por BitTorrent y sobre la red de servidores públicos HTTP y FTP.

Mandriva 2008 es el resultado de seis meses de pruebas y desarrollo exhaustivo, la 2008 incluye todo lo ultimo en Software Libre y muchas mejoras, aun más que las versiones anteriores.

Encontraras KDE 3.5.7 y el nuevo GNOME 2.20 integrado, un solido kernel 2.6.22.9 con soporte "fair scheduling". OpenOffice 2.2.1, lo ultimo en escritorios con aceleración gráfica cortesía de Compiz Fusion 0.5.2, Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.6 y todo lo demás que tu esperas de la ultima versión de Mandriva Linux.

Hemos integrado y rediseñado el sub sistema de detección de hardware, con soporte para mucho nuevo hardware, especialmente para tarjetas grafícas, tarjetas de sonido y chips wireless. También agregamos y mejoramos las mejoradas herramientas de Mandriva (asistentes), así como la adición de un nuevo asistente para importar documentos y configuracíon de Windows, también del nuevo centro de configuracion de redes y muchas mejoras en el Software de Administración de Mandriva Linux.

Un Techo para mi Pais - El Salvador (Sonsonate - Sonzacate) Parte 4

Luego de terminar el trazo se prosigue con la zanja...





La zanja es donde se colocaran los bloques que son los cimientos y donde descanzan las paredes de la casa.





Listo esta lista la zanja. Esta debe tener una profundidad especifica y un ancho especifico.

Aqui tenia la cocina la familia, en el suelo se puede ver las laminas que harian la nueva casa y tambien los bloques (dados) que serian los cimientos.



En este se levantara la casa.





Las otras partes de la casa estaban guardadas cerca del lugar donde construiriamos, esta comunidad se organizo muy bien cuando llegamos ellos mismos habian pintado las secciones.






Hubo que nivelar un poco el terreno. Pero la tierra era suave y fue facil.




Luego se coloco el trazo, que marca el contorno donde se hara la zanja para los bloques o cubos que son los cimientos.

Sobre FaceBook

Por lo general en El Salvador los estudiantes y las personas "normales" tienen una pagina en la "Red Social" del hi5, en lo personal el hi5 y MySpace me parecen sitios increiblemente desordenados.

Hace unos dias Asinkecualo me invito a probar FaceBook y pues probe, primero me dio la impresion de que tenia muchas opciones para los usuarios comunes y todo en ingles (en lo personal no me molesta que este en ingles) cosa que le restaria puntos antes aquellos que tengan hi5 y no saben ingles. Probandolo un poco es facil de entender y tiene muchas aplicaciones (bobas) que a los que usan estas redes les gusta poner :-P

Con sorpresa veo que varios amigos ya tienen una pagina ahi, aunque como dije la mayoria tiene su sitio con hi5, este FaceBook me parece mas ordenado en realidad no he visto el codigo de la pagina pero a simple vista da la impresion que esta mejor pensado y programado que hi5.

Esto de las "Redes Sociales" de contactos es interesante ya que te encuentras personas que tenias mucho tiempo de no ver.

Aunque supongo que con el tiempo tambien tendra una interfaz en español, en sintesis mes ha gustado que no dejan que los usuarios puedan romper el ambiente del sitio colocando cada cosa estupida que que distorciona el ancho de la pagina y ademas me ha gustado su seguridadnadie puede ver tu info si tu no se lo permites antes.
